In mid March, over 100 of our donors and friends gathered for drinks and nibbles at the delightful FORM – Building A State of Creativity Gallery & Cafe, where there was a great new exhibition, Represent|Part 2, inside and a perfect evening and venue to mingle outside.
Guests were treated to inspiring presentations by two of Impact100 WA’s recent $100,000 grant recipients, 12 Buckets Inc and Fair Game Australia.
- Chloe of Fair Game shared about the benefits that Kimberley kids (and their communities) have found thanks to their after-school active movement games and other programs over the last year.
- 12 Buckets CEO, Larissa, related some moving stories of how they are addressing the scary transition to high school for at-risk kids from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
It was very clear that both organisations are creating powerful positive change in the WA community as well as enhancing their reach and their reputations.
Huge thanks to FORM – Building A State of Creativity for the lovely venue and on-ground support, to @Accru Perth as our event sponsor for the evening, to Silverstream Wines and Otherside Brewing Co. for our refreshing beverages and to James Marshall for the all-important AV equipment and set up. Also to our Events team and co-opted helpers – thank you!
It was wonderful to see and mingle with so many engaged donors, all keen to know what their $1000 has achieved, as well as how they can contribute again this year. It truly is an amazing feeling to know you are part of making such a significant difference with these collective $100,000 transformational grants.
It’s looking like 2024 will be another great year and we would love to see even more people join with us to enable more of these powerful and inspiring projects.
Everyone is welcome, no experience required – just a desire to make a positive impact here in WA!
